Take a journey on a tramcar from Victoria Station. As you ascend through the narrow winding roads on the Great Orme you’ll be able to take in breathtaking views. There is an exhibition half way up and it is worth taking time to learn about the incredible history of the Victorian engineering and funicular system. Change trams here and continue to the top of the Orme where on a clear day you will be able to see the Isle of Man.
There is a visitor’s center with further information about the Great Orme Country Park, have picnic and let the children burn some energy in the play park. Well behaved dogs are welcomed on the tram and you can take them on one of the many walks.
It’s worth knowing that there is a Bronze Age Copper Mine nearby and that is dog friendly in all areas. What a great day out! Stop at the beach in Llandudno and enjoy an ice cream on the pier.
